Green Scene began with a single push mower and Jose Garcia’s plan to do landscaping properly in Williamson County. He had learned the work young, on crews run by men with decades in the trade, and hardscapes were what he became best at: the base under a patio, the footing under a stone fireplace, the grade that sends water away from a house instead of toward it.
Where does the company work now?
The office is at 431 Mealer Street in Franklin. From there the crews go out to Brentwood, Nolensville, Thompson’s Station and Spring Hill, and north into Green Hills, Belle Meade, Forest Hills and the rest of Nashville. There are separate teams for design, installation and ongoing work, which is why one call can cover a sprinkler system, a patio or fireplace and the lawn around it.
What do they promise?
Teresa and Jose put it in three short sentences on the company’s first website, signed with both their names:
“Our promise? Truthful estimates. On-time schedules. No surprises.”

Two more lines from the same page say how they run the irrigation side: “We check every zone, every head, every time,” and “Our motto is no water waste.” And the reason they give for meaning it: “We live here, too!” Teresa grew up in Franklin, and the family lives where the crews work.
