Porches, fireplaces and outdoor rooms
Four of these were taken in 2020 at the home where we replaced the pool deck, from the lawn and from inside the porch. The fireplace and seat-wall shots are from Brentwood, the same job that sits under a cedar pergola on our home page. How a firebox and hearth go together is on fire pits and outdoor fireplaces.

Patios, pool decks and concrete
Pavers and poured concrete, side by side. A broom finish is the one we steer people toward around a pool, because the texture grips when it’s wet; a slick finish suits a porch or garage floor that gets swept. The finishes are compared on concrete and stamping, and the paver version on pool decks.

Lawns, gardens and trees
The galvanized container beds were filled with topsoil and tied into the home’s sprinkler system, so the tomatoes get watered on the same schedule as the lawn. The Harley rake and sod pictures show the order a new lawn goes in: the old turf pulverized and leveled, the rolls laid, then the seams closing up a few weeks later. More on sod installation and garden containers.

Winter work
Two jobs from the cold months: a backflow assembly being blown out at a fall winterization, and a front walk cleared after a snowfall. Middle Tennessee’s hills can turn a driveway treacherous overnight, which is why we plow and shovel for homes and businesses. See winterization and snow removal.
Questions
About these photographs
What people ask when they’ve looked through the pictures.
Are the pictures in the Green Scene gallery from the company’s own jobs?
Yes. Every photograph on this page was taken on a Green Scene job, and none of them is a stock image. The fireplace and seat-wall shots are from a Brentwood patio, the porch and pool pictures from a 2020 project, and the concrete, sod and snow pictures from our own crews at work.
Why are so many Green Scene project photos taken after dark?
Because the lighting is part of the job. A fireplace, a seat wall or a row of uplit trees is built to be used in the evening, so we photograph it lit, the way the owners see it most nights. How we plan the fixtures for a yard is on the exterior lighting page.
How do I ask for a project like one in the gallery?
Tell the office which photographs you liked when you call (615) 585-0280 or send the estimate form. Jose Garcia still prices and designs the work himself, so he can walk your yard with those pictures in mind and put the estimate in writing, free of charge.
Does the gallery show every kind of work Green Scene does?
No. It holds the photographs that are not already on a service page. Irrigation, mowing, aeration and the rest each show their own pictures on their own pages, and the home page carries the Brentwood and Westhaven nightscapes. The service menu at the top of the site lists all of it.
