An annual maintenance agreement puts your sprinkler system on Green Scene's schedule for the whole year, all 365 days of it. We start it up in spring, winterize it in late fall, and in between keep it putting down the right amount of water for your lawn and beds. You don't have to work out when to turn the system on or off, or wonder whom to call when something looks wrong.
There are two versions, matched to the controller on the house. Systems we didn't install are welcome on either one.
What’s the difference between GSTN WiFi and GSTN Maintenance?
The controller. GSTN WiFi is the agreement for systems run by a smart, Wi-Fi controller. GSTN Maintenance covers systems on a standard electrical controller. Our technicians service both kinds, so you pick by what's already on the wall, and neither one is the lesser plan.
Prices and terms aren't posted here. Ask the office for the current agreement that goes with your controller.
What happens over the year on an agreement?
The year runs in three parts.
- Spring: a full start-up, with the controller reset, the heads adjusted and every zone run.
- Through the season: service that keeps the system delivering the water your landscaping needs, without the waste.
- Late fall: a winterization, the lines purged with regulated air before the freezes come.
The backflow device is checked for leaks on each of those visits. Over time the visits add up to a record: as a Green Scene customer you'll always have a history of your system on file, which helps the next time something needs a repair.
What about the yearly backflow test my utility requires?
That is your water provider's program, and each one runs its own. Brentwood bills a $57.00 annual cross-connection fee for each domestic or irrigation backflow device and sends city staff or state-certified testers to inspect them. Spring Hill requires a test every year. Milcrofton Utility District, in eastern Williamson County, wants the reduced-pressure device on a lawn system tested annually. In Nashville, Metro Codes inspects sprinkler backflow preventers when they're installed and every year after.
Our visits check the device for leaks every time. The certified annual test is a separate requirement that comes from the provider, so it's worth knowing which program your address falls under.
Who is an agreement for?
Mostly for people who would rather not think about their sprinkler system at all. That includes new owners who bought a house with a system already in the ground and no idea who put it there, and owners whose original installer has since closed. We'll chart a system like that on the first visit and carry it from there.
It also suits anyone who has just had a new system installed and wants the seasonal visits handled from the first winter on.
